About me

My name is Piotr Mateusz Bobołowicz. I’m a photographer, journalist and traveller, pretending cowboy and an amateur of hats. I am fascinated in linguistics and foreign languages. Besides my native Polish, I speak English, French, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian but I have studied and I study to this day many othes languages. I lived in France for two years and for a year and a half in Ecuador. I am the author of the first Polish guidebook to Ecuador. Even though I came back to Poland, the love for the South America and the lust to go there stayed in me forever.

I started my adventure with photography when I was still in middle school. In 2009 I got my first DSLR which have served me faithfully for over a decade. In 2020 I found the old analog Soviet Zenit camera which belonged to my father and started shooting on film, which is now my primary form of artistic expression.

In my journalistic work I am mostly focused on questions of tackling disinformation and security. I am a co-author of a jorunalistic project The Black Sky, dedicated to the East and to the threat that Russia poses for the whole region. I mostly conduct interviews with foreing guests, bringing to our project the Western perspective on the subject.
